778 Banshee Squadron

Royal Canadian Air Cadets

Flying Scholarship

The Squadron Flying Scholarship Program provides Ground School Instruction for cadets who intend to pursue Glider or Power Pilot Scholarships through Air Cadets. These classes, scheduled to run from late September to the December Holiday Break are designed to provide the cadets with the necessary skills and knowledge required to write the entrance examination for the Glider or Power Pilot Scholarship.

This course does not guarantee the cadet’s acceptance to these programs as competition is very strong and only a limited number of spots are available each year. In addition to the marks received on the entrance examination, cadets will also be required to submit the required applications, attend the interview process and provide any required school transcripts, narratives or references as dictated by the Summer Training Officer.
