Thank you for your interest in 778 Banshee Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Cadets. Recruiting of new members for the 2019 – 2020 training year will begin in September. Applicants must be 12 years of age or older to participate.
To apply for cadet membership, the prospective cadets and their parents are required to attend an information session. Information about the Cadets Program; and password to download application forms will be given out in the session. No reservation is required.
Information Session – **New Information for 2019/2020 year**
**Our New Recruit orientation nights for the 2019/20 training year are scheduled for Sept 11 and 12th at the McConaghy Centre (10100 Yonge St. Richmond Hill) at 7:30pm.
New recruits and a parent/guardian must attend one of the two information sessions to be eligible to join our squadron, it is mandatory to attend one of these sessions. These sessions will answer all your questions regarding joining instructions, cadet training, non mandatory activities, costs and more.
Each Squadron Sponsoring Committee (made up of local volunteers/parents)is assessed a fee by the Provincial body that covers the financial requirements of both the Provincial and National levels of the Air Cadet League in Ontario, the Assessment for this year is $70 per cadet.
We require a a one time annual payment of $130 per cadet. This will cover the $70 assessment fee and the additional $60 as payment for the lottery tickets that your cadet is required to sell. Once he/she has sold the book of tickets, the $60 that is collected will be yours to keep.
Payment of $130 can be made by cash, or personal cheque made payable to “778 Banshee Squadron.”

Anaphylaxis and Allergy Protocol
Cadets with allergies and/or anaphylaxis are required to complete the following documentation (if appropriate) and bring signed copies during intake.
Anaphylaxis Consent Form: To be filled out by any cadet who is required to carry an epi- pen.
Participation by a Cadet with Non-Food Related Anaphylaxis: To be filled out if cadet has non-food related anaphylaxis (ie allergies to bee stings).
Anaphylaxis Emergency Plan: To be filled out for any cadet who has one or both of the forms filled out listed above. Note: You are required to obtain a physician signature and provide a photo. If you are not able to provide during intake, you must provide by Thu 28 Sep 17.
Participation by a Cadet with Food Sensitivity: To be filled out by any cadet who has a food sensitivity (food intolerance, chemical sensitivity, food allergy, life threatening food allergy (anaphylaxis). If the form is signed due to anaphylactic reaction to some food, the Anaphylaxis Emergency Plan must be filled out.
Our first regular training night will be Thursday, September 26th, 2019, beginning at 7:00 PM at Richmond Green Secondary School. Please bring your completed packages (forms) and expect to stay until 9:30pm.
New recruits are expected to wear white button down dress shirt with plain black tie and black pants (no jeans) and black shoes.
