Thank you for your interest in 778 Banshee Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Cadets. We are no longer accepting new recruits for the 2022-2023 training year.

Interested applicants are encouraged to come back in September 2023 for more information about recruiting. Applicants must be 12 years of age or older to participate.

To apply for cadet membership, the prospective cadets and/or their parents can email 778air@cadets.gc.ca to receive the password to download the application forms.

***The prospective cadets need to provide their own personal email address in the application.***

The Code of Conduct has been removed from the list of documents needed for the enrolment paperwork. It will be filled out once the cadet has joined the Squadron in person.

Anaphylaxis and Allergy Protocol

Cadets with allergies and/or anaphylaxis are required to complete the following documentation (if appropriate) and bring signed copies during intake.

Anaphylaxis Consent Form: To be filled out by any cadet who is required to carry an epi-pen.

Participation by a Cadet with Non-Food Related Anaphylaxis: To be filled out if cadet has non-food related anaphylaxis (ie allergies to bee stings).

Anaphylaxis Emergency Plan: To be filled out for any cadet who has one or both of the forms filled out listed above. Note:  You are required to obtain a physician signature and provide a photo.

Participation by a Cadet with Food Sensitivity: To be filled out by any cadet who has a food sensitivity (food intolerance, chemical sensitivity, food allergy, life threatening food allergy (anaphylaxis). If the form is signed due to anaphylactic reaction to some food, the Anaphylaxis Emergency Plan must be filled out.

New Recruits

New recruits are expected to wear a white buttoned dress shirt with plain black tie and black pants (no jeans) and black shoes. Their shirts are to be worn tucked in, and pant legs free flowing and not tucked into socks. Recruits with long hair should come with their hair tied back. Don’t stress too much for your first night, we will teach you about our standards and how to meet them.
